Pkew Pkew Pkew (gunshots) – Glory Days (Music Video)

by Steven Spoerl

Toronto punks Pkew Pkew Pkew (gunshots) have been kicking around for a few years now, playing their brand of Springsteen-turns-manic style of music out as frequently as possible. Earlier today they premiered their Amanda Fotes-directed video for “Glory Days” over at AUX and it’s a thing of skewed beauty. The “Glory Days” video capitalizes on their sound, which falls somewhere between Used Kids and Titus Andronicus, by proving to be its rough equal in production value. It’s a charming low-key affair that centers around one man’s quest to conquer an underground arm-wrestling ring. Blood, vomit, eggs, and foul play all play a part here. A man in an eyepatch and a luchador can also be found. “Glory Days” is an appetizing look at the band’s upcoming record, which is streaming in full over at Exclaim and is due out tomorrow. For more information, including tour dates, head on over to AUX (linked above) and watch the whole thrillingly messy affair below.
